80 vette vs 87 NA

Well i met up with this chick that owns a 1980 corvette with the L82 engine and 3 speed auto. Now she is telling me that we have to race next summer. This is because her brother was out driving it one night and got in a minor accident. Anyways as of now my car is stock minus the cold air intake. My guess would be ~150~ hp with 135 ft. lbs torque, at 2500 pounds. I looked into her car today and the site i found says that her car makes 220 hp and 260ft.lbs tq at 3500 lbs. So my question is how would my car fair up to the vette as of now. During the winter i plan on getting a racing beat true dual exhaust, porting the engine with a mild streetport maybe even a bridgeport on the auxileries, along with some lighter 17 inch rims and good autocross tires. Also with that im looking into getting cusco front and maybe rear sway bars, and some tokico springs and struts.

Thanks

PS.... Sorry if i mislead with the title of this being an actual kill.

With all those mods that you have 'planned' I'd say you'd fair much better haha

the L82 vettes run mid to low 14s. i dont think you stand a chance.

she would probably still get a carlength on an FC T-II

that engine has a much broader torque curve, and long gearing.

a friend of mine had the same vette, and ive seen him race a few people. he was neck and neck with a bugeye WRX in one occasion, i think he pulled away after like 190kmh
