74 nova vs fc
i was JUST riding around hanging out and at this stoplight right by my house i see/ hear this car pull up, upon further review it was a 1974 chevy nova. note that this light is WAY out in the boonies here in east lansing, so it was clear of traffic and cops... so he decides to rev up, and damn it sounded good. at first i was a little shaky so i rev up to and as the oncoming light changes to red we both take off. he def had me by 1 1/2 cars at first but ya gotta love the power band of a 7 right around 4 grand in 2ed i soon took the lead, but it didnt last, i had a mis shift from 2-3rd, so he pulled a head ever so slighly, but then once i got my **** together i took off leaving his domestic *** in the dirt.
afterwards we both pull into this parking lot and talk and he had done a 350 swap, and had a compleate fiberglass front end and stright back flowmasters. I am think it was a good race, but i am kicking myself that i missed that shift. o well. i still pulled in the win. :

Well, the '74 Nova ain't no lightweight (especially when compared to the Chevy II Nova's of the early-mid 60's which weighed about 3200lbs themselves) and just because its a 350 doesn't mean its a GOOD 350. It depends on what year the motor is and all that jazz too. My uncle has a '69 Nova with a modded 350 and its quick, don't get me wrong, but its nothing to **** yourself over. This one sounds like its alot more mild, motorwise, than my uncle's. Nice job.
