7>350 (duh)

well, i saw that 1st gen 350z video, and it cracked me up, so i showed ti to my friend with a 350Z, and she got all worked up and wanted to race. all i could say was 'cool, lets go'

she agrees to follow me to the interstate, since she has 0 points left on her license, we figured that was the safest place. about 3/4 of the way there, we get a red light, look at each other, and i wonder if we should do it. then it changes and she takes off. gets about 1.5 cars on me right from the start, then i catch her in 2nd and soon as i hit 3rd im gone.

we went ahead to the interstate, beat her 3 more times from 20-130, she always got the jump on me just slightly from the line, but then i was gone.

her car is a stock auto touring model.

my car in sig.

i know it wast a very fair race, but i figured i'd post it up anyway, since everyone else has their 350z kills on here.

haha that sucks

ask your girl if you can get a threesome going

one thing good about asking this is cause the worst thing that could happen is a no..but you have to ask in a joking way, cause she just might say yeah..

good luck

What is this, the Lounge? Leghumpers...

Nice kills. Tell her to whip out the credit card and get a twin-turbo kit for that Fairlady.

because he should have already been in the gear he was going to use while her car still would have to downshift, but as he mentioned he went from idle and is suffering from turbo lag(i dont know why he would with a t04b though).
unless there was some underlying meaning in your statement.

a good hp making n/a engine 95% of the time will get the jump, and in this case normal that she was getting the jump..

alright, in a normal race, say they were going from a 45 roll he would downshift to second and hold it there and continue to cruise at 45 right at the start of his powerband, when the race starts all he would have to do is push on the gas and he would immediatly take off, her car has to downshift still before she hits her powerband because of the auto, thus the advantage of a 5 speed. The subject i brought up was not n/a vs turbo it was 5speed vs Auto. Unless he was suffering from major turbo lag (as he said he did later on) he should have walked away from her from the start. Now maybe i hope you can understand my original post of:

you were getting jumped by an auto from a roll??

^^ i see now, i misread the whole thing

but even though, how much time loss is there when an auto tranny downshifts when you mash the gas? especially with the new auto trannys out now?

like half a second?

i dont know exact times, but i would imagine a half second being a good late start on the race.

well you can downshift an auto from a roll too.

however, i think what he said was that he wasn't revving before taking off the line(ie he took off like one might do when driving to work, before dropping the hammer)

either way good kill.

Oh god, please don't call a US Spec NISSAN 350Z a Fairlady. Sure, they are essentially the same exact car, but you sound like one of the "DrIfT KiNg KiDz" calling their 240SX's Silvia's and their AE86 Carolla's Hachi Roku's. Just for the sake of sanity, do me this favor and call it via origin.
