460 RWHP Z06 VS 770 RWHP Poopra

Fun run:

The Z06 has Heads/Cam/FAST Intake/FAST TB/Longtube Headers/Other stuff

The Supra has a single turbo upgrade (Not to sure what size it is, but it's PFB) and it's running race gas with I believe 28-30 lbs of boost.

(The links say 550 RWHP, but it's actually 460 RWHP)

Seems like the vette driver would have (should have) given up after one or two races.

My thoughts exactly.

You dont **** with a supra, especially one making this much power off a roll.

When they pull, they PULL.

Its like going fishing for them, they will always reel them in. Even if they miss a gear, they still pull and pass like nothing happened.

Are you sure the Z06 is only at 460rwhp? With the LS1 in a Camaro z28, cams/heads/exhaust put them at 410rwhp-420rwhp. So with the LS2 Z06 stock is around 370rwhp, he should have more then 460whp with the other mods he has. He should be over 500whp IMO

I highly doubt it. This is what Supra's are made to do, if his engine is decently built then he should be able to do this all day.

I wouldn't go that far. All stock and 100 shot, I was inching on Indykid's car. I never ran him on the big cam set up, but it would've been a very close race. On the cam and bottle, there is no race there, however there are a few other supras around that were a race for me. First race here is me on motor on the cam only set up that was 125mph traps. Second race with the black car is on a 175 shot (albeit a dying bottle, but none the less) that I trapped 138 on. Both races were ~50-140.

RX7Fan, did the Z06 guy even think he had a chance? That was not even a race. But good video anyway.

And Hockey, that is an awesome video! You pulled hard on those FDs. Those Supras must have been really built too.

Ls2's were never offered in a Z06 and they dyno at 350~ Rwhp. And the vette owner is at a huge disadvantage racing the Supra from a roll, If it was from a dig it would be a different outcome. Good luck getting a Supra guy to race from a dig though.

If there is legitimately a 300whp difference between the cars (which is probably true from those pulls), the vette has no chance anywhere. Racing those two cars was a complete waste of time.

Its tough to get over 500rwhp without nitrous or forced induction. You can get close to the 500rwhp mark N/A, but driveability suffers.

From a roll, I agree with you. But from a dead dig for a 1/4 mile race, the race would be very close. Unless the Supra was setup correctly to run from a dig. Theres on one 2 of those that I know of and there owned by Ryan woon here in Arizona. Its sad but you and I know its true.

I going to have to disagree with you on that statement. It's all about the driver of the supra. I would take those guys in that vid that hocky posted anyday in a supra with this race against a vette from a dig. It's a hard car to launch but with enough seat time you'll get it.

Agreed. The supra will get down the track. The Z06 doesn't leave any harder than the supra does. Just because you heard one time on the internet that 500whp and 1000whp supras both run 12s doesn't mean it is true.

My 550 Whp f-body ran 9.80's on spray. Find me a Supra that can do the same with less than 800whp.

lol, you have a z06 trapping around 125-128 mph vs a supra trapping 140+ racing from a roll. What did you people expect to happen? Would like to see the supra on pump vs. the vette, would be a lot more interesting.

i just realized whos vette and supra is in that video. I actually have some footage of me racing the same vette on the highway from this weekend. The vette is pretty fast, but still no match for a big single supra on race gas.
