40R FD vs. 2 very fast 240's

Sorry, no vid, but should make for a pretty good story anyways. So i get off work around 10 and call up a friend to go get some for at applebees, half price appetizers after 9, hell yeah. So as i am finishing up eating another friend calls and says there are 2 turbo 240's where he is trying to run someone, so i tell them i am game. At this time i am driving my sick jeep wrangler so i drive by to check out the cars before i go get the FD. I pull in and see one car which i know and one that i dont. One of the 240's is a very early 90's model that has an RB2X swap, dont know if it was a 25 or 26, with a t-88 turbo, fuel cell, cage and god knows what else. I have personally seen the car run mid 10's. The other car is a 95-96 model i find out is a fully built sr20 swap, supposedly stroked to 2.4L i think the owner said, t-67, greddy intake manifold, 850 injectors, the works.

So I go get the FD and we head to the highway. I run against the 95-96 model first and we both line up around 40 mph and get in gear. I honk 3 times and go. Right off the bat i pull a car on him, he must have lagged really bad. I shift into 4th and check the rear view and he is about 1 1/2 back and basically locked in, i might have been inching on him a little bit more. So we both shut down near the end of 4th gear with me about 1 1/2 out in front and jump off the highway. So we exit and he says his friend with early 90's model wants a shot. I say to myself "oh ****" but agree since its for fun.

We jump back on the highway and line up around 60 mph, both in 3rd gear. He waves me to go instead of honking so i make sure he is ready and take off. He hits boost very quickly and we are dead even through 3rd gear. Both shift to 4th and he starts to pull on me. We both shut down at the end of 4th with him about 1 1/2 out on me.

Both runs were for fun, and the guys were pretty cool, just thought i would share.

My mods are gt40r turbo, 1600cc secondaries, pfc tuned by ray wilson, about 13-14 psi on these runs.

Wow...Nice runs, and great story! I enjoyed reading it.

Sounds like that second 240 was downright nasty...Nothing to be too upset about losing to.

it says 386whp in his siggy. nice kill, and I wouldn't feel too bad about losing to an rb. i mean, hell, speed is money, and apparently that guy wants to be really fast.

Lol, I'll get Ernie to avenge me, he lives right up the street. Bel Air is about 1 1/2 hours from Frederick but i will be working in the morning and in philly at night for hot import nights, u should come up there. Its probably 3 hours from Frederick.
