some people call that a vague statistic because that involves one track, one driver etc etc instead of multiple tracks etc etc..but i say this gives a general idea of how each performs..

the rx7 numbers alone are correct which makes me believe the whole chart is correct..and by the look of it, the rx7 falls under the supra in each one except fun factor..but fun factor is more of a personal preference opinion..

im sorry but i cannot believe that the big pig supra can outhandle the nimble FD, supras definately can get bigger power for cheaper, but i cannot accept the supra handling better, it is just way too farfetched, the FD has a near 50/50 weight distribution, a hell of alot less weight, and a very tight suspension along with a killer handling chassis, mazda built the car to handle, mazda's sportscars are designed for the twisties, and thats how they've always marketed them. toyota isnt exaclty reputable for making steering, chassis and suspension as good as mazda. i love the supra and im sure it handles great, but its just been common knowledge in the japanese muscle car group since the early 90s is that the RX-7 is the king in the twisties of the japanese muscle cars and the Supra is the king of power. i would like to make a bridgeported turbo'ed 1000+ hp 20b supra killer one day though, but may be a tad hard on the pocketbook though.

In Tsukuba circuit Japan, where RX7s, Supras, and GT-Rs duke it out no Supra has gotten close to what many RX7s has done : 56-57 seconds. There must be at least 4-5 different cars posting those times with only 400-450 rwhp. Only GT-Rs and Evos post that kinda numbers, but with 100-200 rwhp more.
You go to most other tracks and it's the same.

Here in the US, have you ever auto-x ? The highest stock class is SS and the RX7 dominated that class in the 90s until the Z06 comes along, where is your Supra then ? Struggling in the lower AS class ?

Sport Compact Car did an event called G-Games and 2 highly modded Supras were there, both had 500 rwhp+ and a near stock RX7 with only clutch, shocks, springs, and exhaust beat everybody in the event. It sweeps the floor in everything : best lap time, highest skidpad and slalom.

A magazine comparison back in early 90s were also shown the RX7, 911TT, NSX, 300ZTT, Corvette, etc. going around a lap in Streets of Willow. Guess which posted the best lap time ? The RX7 even do it even with 150 hp deficit compare with then 911TT. I'll try to find that magazine result sometime.http://www.fd3s.net/magazine_article...article02.html
This is done in the same track as the G-Games where the modded Supras only got 1:07s.

You're fighting a losing battle dude.

Let's try this, it's been a long time.
http://www.tripleplate.com/vbulletin...ead.php?t=7123
http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/3rdgen/arti...1201/index.htm
http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/3rdgen/arti...ges/image3.htm

Read the last 2 articles first.
Same track as the other magazine's test.

Instead of magazine bench racing any further, I think the fact that the Supra is classified lower than the RX7 in auto-x and still struggling back in the day when the RX7 are winning is the proof. The same is seen in the Japanese tuner world.
Hehehe... even BM videos agree with that.

And that is it.

Now that's some objected proof. The first link I didn't bother with and as far as bench racing, well that's exactly what you just posted. So it seems that we are 1 for 1. I will say for the record the supra's turbo being a t04r is way to big and laggy for a road course and that a smaller 58mm to 63mm would have been a great benefit. Sorry for the thread steal. Now back to the viper race. How did it go?

Well, didn't you do it first with that Nurburgring record stuff ? How is that different than my magazine bench racing as I used it to counter yours? If a Ferrari F50 has never been oficially lapped the Nurburgring then it's not a great handler ?
Anyway, who appointed you as an instructor at Rotary Revo ? They must've really been shorthanded.

Have you ever auto-x at all ? Don't you know what's going on at these auto-x i.e. which cars are classified where ?

You where the one that made the statement about bench racing not me. I have auto-x before and I have found that I prefer an actual track and not a piece of **** parking lot. Has far as the revo goes, the owner asked me to go because I'm have alot of track time and he trusted that I would do a good job. Short handed? What does that have to do with it? How would you know **** about it? Did you go? Did you see the caliber of people that actually took there cars on the to better themselves? Here is a p.m. from one of my students sent to me on this site.

Riding in your Supra was kickass too Took my car to OTD @ Waterford Hills last w/e & got in 6 runs. Your instruction helped me have a blast

RX7 is a multi-time autoX national champ. Supra? Nope.

A supra may be able to cover up what a pig it is on a road course by making big power to turn lap times, but sorry... about the only things made that are better on a road course than an RX7 is possibly a Z06, a GT3 Porsche, and the Ferrari Modena... and a well setup RX will run with any of them.

You need only drive a Supra and an RX7 to know the difference.

I'm only pointing out that you're the one who started bench racing. Again, answer my question : If a Ferrari F50 hasn't lapped the Ring officially, then it's not a great handler ?
Besides, the Ring has numerous long straights that will help a car with high horsepower. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...1&page=1&pp=20
So, an MB SL500 which lap 4 seconds faster than a Lotus Exige is a better handler ?
Anyway, the fact that the Blitz Supra which has 750 hp lapping only 6 seconds faster than a stock 911TT with 420 hp is quite laughable. I'd expect it to be at least in 7:30 range.

Piece of **** parking lot ? Hahaha.... trying to cover up your insecurity ? Spoken like true noob.
