But seriously, your friend is a kook. A ******* idiot. And so is his brother. It's funny because you'd think people who drive a fast car can appreciate a fast car. Especially when it's better looking, lighter, and more rare (than, say, a 'Vette). Why can't they just say, "damn, you worked me. Your ****'s fast!"

I've raced a few of my friends, and they've never given me the "your car is a POS" or "no way, it's not worth my time" kind of BS. Jeez, I hate some people these days. Sounds like this guy is measuring his worth by his car's capabilities.

its 8:04 in morning and i already have had several calls from his crying bro. talking about how he is agonna rape my "piece of ****". talking about how he ran 12.7 with a slipping clutch and shifting early. can u beleive the **** i have to put up with.

i remember getting into this very subject wioth u 2 yrs ago...about how a stock twin fd realy couldnt beat a lightyl modded z06 that traps 120mph. i dont mind getting proven wrong this time...lol.

his mods 03 z06 intake, headers, xpipe,. borla stingers, and some throttle body mod.

my mods are full boltons at 14psi.


i dont care what anyone says the little stock twins rock in sequential mode when u have the car tunned right, they just spool instantly then when second turbo comes online u pull just about anything.

so far thats 03 cobra, 03 z06, regular vette all down to the 7!
You should get a tag that reads . 8YURZ06
and don't tell your buddy, and one day drive in front of him. hahaha

When a C6 Z06 rolls up on you.. Just go SINGLE...

for those that dont remeber my mods are all the boltons at for this run 14psi. he has z06 with varaam intake, kooks header, x pipe, and borla stingers. he also has some thottle body mod he says.
When you two got over 100mph.. Was the Z06 drafting??
If so, can explain the his 4th gear pull on you.
Especially if he was right behind you. Or even 45Degrees off your bumper
on either side.. if he's close enough.

IMO you seen to try and rationalize with these goons when you should be having fun with them instead. Talk **** back but don't take it seriously.

I had a dude here at work always talking **** about my car. ALWAYS saying how they were slow, how they always break, how his infinity g35 (4 door lol) is better and faster. Of course I always returned the favor: I would reply things as yeah I think your ego is inflated because the only thing you race are soccer moms, oh wait with that thing YOU drive YOU are a soccer mom! lol. So finally one day after work I said alright lets go. Of course I MURDERED him. A few days later he admitted that my car hauls ***. Honestly I always thought he was joking when he would make claims about his STOCK car being faster than mine. But after that day the **** talking stopped guess he was serious lol. Some people.

it could have been that. also the change in temp too. it was 92 out that day and last night was 65 and clear.
honestly..after last night i am pretty confident that he sprayed me that time up at those speeds. last night i was pulling in every gear. i was watching him in my rear0view losing ground! yeah baby!
he wants to go from a 1st gear roll this weekend. he will lose.

Now you just need a good streetport. Another forum member took down a new Z06 three times and also a new 997 Porsche turbo with a streetport and the twins. He dynoed ~356 rwhp on a mustang dyno with a slipping clutch at 14 psi with a heat soaked engine. Being conservative he is making 392 rwhp on a dynojet. (10% difference)

Now add the fact his clutch isn't slipping, he runs 3 more lbs of boost and his car isn't heat soaked...

yeah i read that post. they ran him out of here for sharing it. this plac eis crazy.

anyways...i wanted to ask u. how come i cant seem to get more than 14psi now? i dont see any leaks or here anything. do u think my stockers can be gettign tired? i been running14-15psi for 3 yrs now...for about 15k miles.

i wouldnt mind trying 16-17psi for the occassional race.

I've seen that problem with a couple of cars. Make yourself an adjustable "daws" device from home depot, it costs about 6 bucks. Start out with the valve open and turn it about 1/4 turn until you start getting more boost. Then go in smaller and smaller increments until you get the boost where you want it. I would suggest race fuel while you are playing with the valve in case you spike it.
Also remember your boost sensor reads only up to 16.4 lbs if memory serves me correctly. When you run above 15 psi I always suggest mixing some 100 octane or race fuel. Mix it so you have 96/97 octane rating or more
Be VERY careful and before you do it talk to Jodney...

I signed up to this forum just for you buddy, greatest kill ever. I hate the import

hater type domestic guys. 2 gentlemen at my work wouldnt stop giving me the

business for weeks about how my boosted 240 couldnt hang with his ws1. Im

usually boosting 12 daily on my gt35r and the butt dyno is thinking 290-320rwhp.

Im thinking that i could hang if not pull so i agree to race after work one day...

So we leave the mall i work at (horrible assistant manager job unnamed place) at

roughly 1130pm and we head to the closest straight nearby. He says that he

wants a roll cause he loses traction and i agreed. I reached over and flipped the

boost controller to 15 pounds and said a prayer for my bone stock SR20det. We

roll to about 25 and I give the 3 honks andwere off! he immediately took the lead (damn boost lag!) I of course am thinking Nooo!

but then we get to the top of 2nd and i see hope, then get into 3rd and

pull very slightly, maybe just a bumper and a half, then as i throw into 4th we are

even again , and as i wind out 4th and the spooling sound takes

over the rumble of his pontiac, i look over at my mirror to notice he is about 1.5

cars back, i let off with a huge breath released. Excited with the win, and hands

still trembling from the rush,we stop and the next light about a half mile down,

and with the biggest smile on my face i look over and give a a shake of the head

with my eyes closed as if to say "you were saying" He took a while to speak but

finally got the courage to mutter, "good race!" and then gave me a thumbs up.

(at work this kid doesnt shutup about how much he wants a japanese cars

now!) but hey, win these domestic lovers over one race at a time.

i think i know a thing or two about car racing and comparing cars as well.
but, judging by the mods and that he sometimes trap slightly higher than me i was thinking he was gonna beat me or atleast be very very close. but my car is clearly faster. each gear i widened the gap.

i think FD's on the twin sequential and from a second gear roll on could beat cars that they "should" lose to on paper. i thinkl having a light weight flywheel and instant boost gives u a nice jump on another car...even a more torque car.

I agree. Though if you raced another Fd non-sequential or single from a roll. The other FD properly brake boosted is going to negate the sequential advantage. I like sequential. Just alot of headaches w/ 1bar or more boost. G
