2nd kill w/ my FD -=)
I pull up to a stop light and glance to my right and see a acura tsx w/ limo tint and some rims. When the light turns green i take off slowly not expecting to race and i notcied he started to haul ***(i guess he was assuming that i was gonna romp on the gas from the beginning) so i catch up to him in 2nd and we take off on a roll. i let him get about more than 1/2 a car length on me(basically letting him hit vtec) and then i floor it(forgot to mention i'm already in 3rd gear where the nice FD powerband kicks in). In no time im about 4 or more car length ahead of him and i turn on the hazards. i guess it kinda pissed him off so he started to tail gate me. i switch lanes to turn into the shopping center because i was going to the bank and when he passes by i give him a great big smile =).
my 1st kill was an 06 mustang(not sure if it was a GT). i pull right behind him at a stop light and when it turns green we both made left turns. again i am driving normal and once he gets straight he takes off. so i switch lanes and play catch up. i finallly caught up to him at the end of 3rd gear and pass him by 1 car length or more. i tried to wait for him as we slowed down so i can say hello but i guess he was too embarred and stayed far behind me. so i end up just getting on the freeway and that was the end of that. i know what everyone is thinking the 1st kill isn't really worth talking about but i just felt like sharing it because i recently purchased my FD. little things like this get me excited because i can't wait to start fixing my dream car. my car is a 93 brilliant black R1, it's completly stock. all i've done are the reliability mods like spark plugs, fuel filter, etc. i will be doing the cheap bastard intake mod and installing an RB dual cat-back and hks downpipe. thanks everyone for looking and i just wanna say i love my FD -=)
POWER to all FD owners....lol

good kills though the V6 Mustangs are no slouches either.

No but i have beaten an 02 mustang v6 in my old 2000 v6 accord, i cant imagine that much of a difference for an fd to have trouble with it.

06 Stangs are NOT fast. When I had my 8, I burned my friends 05 V6 Stang. Went 3-4 times to make sure it wasn't a mistake and each time I pulled easily. Possibly because he was an automatic, but who knows. We all know our FD's are quite a bit faster than the 8's.

Mustang's 3.8-liter split-port V6 engine develops 190 horsepower at 5250 rpm, with 220 foot-pounds of torque at 2750 rpm.
And they have a 0-60 in 9.9 seconds. Pretty quick???

From a stop, the 05-06 Mustang GT's haul ***. From 50+...forget about it. The power just stops (stock, anyways). I kept up with one in my 8...was pulling on him a little (I was behind him)..Might've been driver, or my redline being considerably higher ? O.o

I raced a 06 manual GT and he took off first way before me from 85-140, and I caught up to him before letting off. And this was before I put on the Racing Brat Exhaust and i only had 2.5" dp and mp with 10psi. I will say they are not fast at all, at least not on the top end. 06 mustangs weigh almost 4000 lbs if you didnt know. the convertible weighs 4008 which is 112 lbs more than the coupe. did u guys read car and driver of the new 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Cobra convertible? it runs 13.4 with 550bhp and the coupe ran 12.9. pathetic for the hp #s. If I had 550 hp in my fc, id be at least in the 10s. I rather get the older 03-04 SVT Cobra which is faster and better looking.
