+2 kills FDvs Cayman S autobahn + E-30 m3 winding road
Basically destroyed both cars, but here it is. Went out for a drive after doing some suspension tuning. First on the autobahn heading home after work, just cruising on the right hand lane when i see the cayman s pass by on the passing lane. my speedo hasn't been converted yet so i dont know the exact speed. but i was in 6th gear moving along at 2800 rpm. my rear is 3.90 auto, t56 tranny @ 0.5:1 6th ,i think, and my rear tires are 235/45r17. i switch lanes and after a few seconds im on his rear now at 3000 rpm. he doesn't switch over to let me pass and the right hand land was clear so i switch over and give him the look and some hand signals. he reacted by accelerating. he gets 1/2 a car on me i didnt even down shift. Just press in the accelerator in some more, passes him at 3500 rpm, switch to the left lane, and i don't let up. i notice he is still trying to catch up. i finally let off at 4600 and notice he is about 80ish meters behind me judging for the exit marker. i switch over to the right lane and go back to 2800 cruising. the guy does a ricer flyby ,still haven't let up from how fast he passed me. dude might of been going 160mph/265 kph. im guess his kinda mad for me passing him on the right lane. O well i missed my exit but the next exit are back roads towards my town. Good chance for me to test my chassis performance. the road home is mostly long bends +a few uphill /downhill hairpins, 1 lane with passing zone on the straights. i catch up the the beamer as we are both doing illegal passes on slower moving traffic. im right on his butt and haven't really begin to push my car close to its limit yet. judging from now stiff his car was and the wide tires about 265 on the rear i could tell he has some suspension upgrade. i follow him for a few minutes to see if he would push it some more. im getting bored because i haven't begin to feel any under steering yet. so the passing zone comes up, i decide to take over and see if he would chase me. the first few long bends he is keeping up pretty well. but once the uphills/down hills came it was over. the first up hill was a right hand turn with about a 50 meter straight then a left / right S turns. not as tight as a hairpin but tight enough. before the first right i slow down, heal/toe 4-3-2 down shift, minimal over steer as im going in and slight under steer coming out, by the time i got to the S turn i had about 20 meters on him. Same situation with the S turn. it starst going down hill. it has a 2 series of S turn. i notice the E30 wasn't behind me now. so i go back to cruising speed. i see him again after the first down hill S turn. the game is back on and i decided to take the next one the best i could. 100 meters until we hit the next S turn and letting him stay on my butt. going @ 4 gear 4700 rpm and im just letting my engine coast down hill,no gas applied. as the turn comes i got cocky and tried a late breaking... oops under steer hard, i recover and take the next on smoothly. he was about 10 meters behind me after that last turn. at the bottom of the hill is my village. i turn off the main road and head towards my home. as he passes by i gave him a wave and a nice thumbs up. he returns the gesture with a few high beams and a wave. Mods in sig.. enjoy

hey, i'm on ramstein....which fd are you, i've seen a black one, a red one, and a silver one out here. Unfortunately, I was't able to bring my fd since its dead and waiting for me back home. There's a 88 red vert on sale at the lemon lot with 58000 miles on it for $5200. Also, have you been on the fantastic road passing Frankenstein Castle leading into Vogelweh?

my red one is the ls6, my silver one is the j-spec. but the j-spec is just been chilling for a while. havent driven it in a year. lingering on a rebuild and new turbo. just trying to get my red one completed. plus i deploy a lot to iraq. I posted a few pics of the silver one in 2005 at nurburgring. As far as i know there are 3 FD around our area. the black one is own by a guy that works at ammo. if the red one u saw with bronze wheels and scuff front fenders r/l thats mine.

man, b270 ALL THE WAY TO THE END in the vogelweh direction....seriously.
b37 is the one that runs by Frankenstein all the way to where b270 pretty much starts
it's like a 45 min drive with some long sweepers and tight turns, be warned though, there are tons of motorcycles on this road
