Well I was tired of losing races with the stock set up, so its about time I finally got some kills to post

Right after I put my header on I was on the freeway, and there was a 90's T-bird cruising along, which had huge rims and dual exhaust, So I thought what the hell and pulled up next to him in 5th at 65mph.

I know these t-birds came with either a 5.0 or a turbo v6. Id imagine that the dual exhaust meant that it was a 5.0 , unless it was a single pipe and the muffler had dual outlets, Im not sure exactly.

He pulls ahead a little, and I just dump the clutch in 3rd, and instantly he was in the mirror, almost like nitrous that 3rd gear hehehe. I go WOT to 110mph and hes like 10 car lengths back. I decide to coast down to 10 over the speed limit (70) and then I see him coming up real quick, then he takes his exit at like 120mph!! I thought whoa this guys pissed!

Later that night a WAYYY lowered chevy Xtream passed me So I decided to keep up with it. Then I thought , Ill annihilate this in the corner coming up (45mph reccommended by the yellow sign) So I speed up to appraoch the corner, and as soon as I revved up he took off!! I went into that turn at 90 and he was still ahead of me! I couldnt beleive it from a truck I had to swerve around this honda which decided to join the race pretty late, and finally caught back up to the truck at 120mph, then he exited, Thinking back I should have also, cause that highway is like 12 miles of straightaway. But I was impressed by that Xtream.

Then on the way home I see these headlights coming up realllllly fast! As soon as I saw it wasnt a cop I gunned it, he passed me by about a length in a SC300 I think it was... might have been an acura 3.2tl something of the sort.

After about 5 seconds Im ahead by a nose length and the guy knows it, I was below my peak rpm range in 5th, I could have gone quicker, but then he wasnt accelerating any faster, so I wanted to see what he would throw at me. Well, he must have had it to the floor, cause I just kept the nose of my car about a foot in front of his, in fact at 5000 rpms I had to let off a little the keep my 1 foot lead. Right then we hit the I90 tunnel which is a mile or 2 in length and 3 lanes.

I looked over at 90 mph, he looked a little upset. Then I looked again at 115 still about a foot ahead, and he looked like he was going to shoot me if he had a gun, which perhaps he did, so I quickly took the next exit.

Im going out tonight, So well see what happen

Early 90s T-birds had 5.0s in the mid to late model 90s had 4.6s.... I have a 4.6 in the garage with the motor in pieces There were no turbo V6 T-birds (from the factory) but the Super Coupe was a supercharged V6. Looking around though, 5.0 T-birds are pretty hard to come by (Super Coupes too) but it may be different in your area. One not beat to hell or wrecked is even harder to come by. I still say the chances are it was a 4.6.

express lanes on I90 are a good place to top end your car, about two mins of wot and sweet tunnel to hear your exhaust in

What color is yours ?

Supercoupe had a 3.8 V6 in the late 80's and early 90's.
In the 80's they also had the infamous turbocoupe which is a I4 2.3l.

I see lots of 5.0 Thunderbirds however.

I dont know what color its officially called, but I think its sand. I have louvers on all the back windows, and I put on a chevy 2.5" Cowl induction hood scoop. Perhaps youve seen me? What color is yours? I dont see that many FB's around here, kinda nice driving the closest thing to 'one of a kind; at least in this area, hahah. Its not an RX7 but an honorable mention nonetheless. Coming the other way on I5 I saw the sweetest 240 or 280 z It had and awesome looking spoiler, and a hood scoop like an Aston Martin Vantage, the whole thing was jet black and shiny as hell.. Lucky I wasnt next to him to smoke his car )

Also when I got on the freeway the next day, there was an Intrega trying to keep up with a 350z, but my exit was too soon to join in.

Well, mainly I thought I saw a cowl scoop on an rx7 when I was like 10 years old. But thinking back I think it was a 280z and it looked really badass! I think it did have a v8. Mine has a 12a, but scooping air in from the cowl gives it better airflow than just about anything else I beleive. on the 60's camaros they found it gives a mild supercharging effect. I didnt notice much difference from when my airfilter was sticking through the hood vs. having the cowl scoop, but driving it feels soooo much cooler! Besides, more corvettes and mustangs and stuff on the road rev up next to me now, instead of me revving up to them
