we were really just concerned with trap speeds since i was on street tires and had recently tuned the car.. i was out-trapping the cobra by 1mph or so all day. but it WAS completely stock, so.. i'm sure with exhaust and a pulley he'd be rolling my *** up.
and yeah, he DID have a faster et.

 

I'm not allowed to say that you won, if the Cobra guys ever found out... I'd be banned for sure!

nice run. Used to own a 04 Cobra - Black in Louisville... might've seen it. You have my respect. Nice TII. Do you park your car at Jefferson Mall any? I've seen a white TII out there parked... It has a black hood... but I can't see the hood of yours in the vid.

And for the Cobra mods... probably none... they're twelve second cars off the showroom. He might have a Cat-Back Exhaust and a K&N or something.

actually that would be my friend james' car. it has a bigger turbo (t04e 57 trim i believe) and runs nearly the same trap speed at 10psi.

and the old man said his car was totally stock, not even an K&N dropin.

 

hes liable to mod the thing after getting beat by many imnports. he seemed mad after i smoked him.,

Yea, I don't know why the Cobra owners get mad about losing races sooo much... it's almost like they expect to win simply because they paid nearly 40K for their cars... haha. My Cobra fell to many imports... MANY. I mean, if I had spent the money on mods that they had, they probably wouldn't stand a chance (well, I did eventually, ha!) The saddest day was a run against a jelly bean SRT-4... sad sad day. But I have respect for ANY car that is built to perform... I don't care if it's a Yugo. Good run!

Oh yea, good to know who owns that TII... I always thought it would be somebody on this forum Actually, I was driving my base model RX-7 around J Mall one day with the girlfriend... and I saw that TII and said, "I gotta have one." You know, you don't get to see too many 7's around Louisville unless you're in the know or something. We'll have to meet up sometime... at the track or at some event... see ya.
