this run was at 13psi, on street tires with a 2.1 60ft

 

very nice man, youll get a way better time with a better 60 ft and drag radials

 

not bad, but can go faster? where are the low 12s?
what tires? with better tires or better launch should be low 12s

 

yes. needs more 1.8 60ft. at 12.4@114

i'm gonna go back in the spring with 15psi and some good tires and try to hit 11's

similar thing happened to me last time i was at the track but with a mach1 or something. i beat him, trapped higher MPH(110 to his 108) but he had a faster ET(12.7 to my 13.0).

 

What mods did the Cobra have?

 

yea watching the video is kind of weird. you can see clearly that the right hand lanes sign came on first.

 

what they dont tell you is that its rigged

 

That's because the cobra got a late start. The time for the ET doesn't start running until you "break the beams"

So, you could sit there at the line with a green lite for as long as you want, but until you start moving, your time doesn't start(well your reaction time will be adding up as soon as the tree goes green.)

The FC did cross the finnish line before the cobra and he was going faster than the cobra. but the time it took the cobra to break the beams and cross the finnish line was shorter than the FC's

also, i was just watching this video again and you can really hear that wastegate open up :EEK:

but yeah he technically did have a better ET so whatever.

 

this is drag racing right? he did win! watch any drag event and the first guy to the stripe wins. you don't get to sit on the start line in your top fueler and wait to go until you're f-ing ready. you see this same situation all the time in pro events where the loser runs a lower e.t. but loses because his reaction time sucked. nice kill.

 

Since I have an 03 Cobra as well as an RX-7 I'm not commenting on who won or might have won...

But you do have a very nice car and its very quick. Anything that can keep pace with a Supercharged Cobra has my respect!
