in the last vid where the 7 pulls on the camaro, you can tell the camaro wasn't squeezing or probably having issues with the Nitrous (solenoid freezing up?), then proceeded to pull pretty quick.

I know what bolt on camaro's can do and I know what bolt on + nitrous can do as well...odds are he is on the bottle, mang.

G's, if it were blown, it'd only be good for about 7-12lbs of boost on the stock block and even then, they are pushing out 500+rwhp.

and the term factory freak annoys me. these cars are build by machines on an assembly line. there is no way the car came with 80-100 more rwhp than stock. cause thats what it would need to run 12.5s this guy sounds like a real gem. first he claims a full second faster factory car then claims bolton only and stays even with him.

 

it would need atleast that to run even with a huge single turbo half bridge FD.

Well I remember that he told me his camaro had:
full bolt ons
Stage 2 or 3 heads (LS6 I think)
He also had a 25X cam. dont remember the actual #.
He said he had everything done but the actual bottom end

If it's heads and cam, I am almost sure he is not on the bottle, it would be a whole different animal with the heads/agressive cam/spray combo.

 

Yes.. If you did not hear any kind of blower. There is no way he could have done that. I know your car has to be making 440 or so on pump conservatively. G

 

I remember he said he wanted to do a more aggressive cam but couldn't because of his valve clearancing. But I am 99% sure he said 250 something cam. The whole "story" seemed sketchy when he said it did a 12.58 stock 1/4 mile. I am just repeating what he said that night. One thing is for sure though, I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN LS1 WITH A TOP END LIKE THAT..... I give him props.

 

I was running 18psi that night and the temps were in the 50s/40s. I was dyno tuned by Steve at 450whp @ 17psi. I think my AFRs were around 11.0. That night of the race my AFRs were around 10.0 in boost and would sometimes dip in the 9s because my wideband just read RCH. Also I had my 9 heat range NGKs in and I was getting a nice amount of breakup....

 

Not sure where you guys are from but there are many 10 second all motor LS1 cars here.

 

That is one pretty quick camero... 175 is just nuts man..... It is great your camera guy got a shot of the speedo.

 

werd. blaines c5r 427 would have probably raped any rx7 in stl, bad. on a highway pull

 

Fully built ls1 corvette,heads cam and bottom end built. Huge cam et streets tunned perfect turned 11.0 with modified intake and nos 150 shot ran 10.5. I have never seen stock ls1 turn 12.8 even with headers et's and exhaust. LS1 dudes lie!! Still means you gave a good RX7 showing.

 

You need to get your FD done so you could rape some V8

 

I've seen a bunch of stock LS1 TA'S and Camaro's run 12's stock.

Here is a bone stock LS1 with only heads and cam running 9's.
