Okay, here are some shots of the track before the race (freshly graded). No ruts yet to speak of, and it sure looked like a lot of fun. But the ruts developed quickly, as you'll see in some of the other pics coming up.

I wish I'd found this before I went through all the trouble of resizing my amatuer photos, but better late than never. So here you go, a link to 164 photos from the event in a pretty nifty slideshow/website thingy. These are definitely better pics than my little camera was capable of. Worth taking a look! There's even a couple shots of me sliding around on my treadless street tires (no hugemongous rooster tails for me)...

Old [Sch|F]ool
The GeeTex rolled?
BUMMER !!!!
I assume that's the same one that has been to several WOR events lately. At the last event we were both at, he was dialing in his launch control (poppoppopBANG BANG BANG *launch*) and fried his clutch.
I had a ride in that car last year. It didn't turn really good times (rally suspension is too stiff for rallycross) but it was big stupid fast. Doesn't hurt that I'm 6'5ish and the co-driver's seat was set up for someone maybe 5'6
edit: Different car. But some of thos pics scare me... it looks like there are people with cameras close to the course, without spotter workers to save their asses. Also very bad form.
What region is holding those events? If that's Detroit region, I don't think I'll accept the invite that I was extended
