webber carb on dellorto manifold?

Do you guys know if a webber side draft like a dcoe will fit on a dellorto upper intake manifold? Racing beat sells an upper for the Dellorto but it says nothing about wether or not it will fit a webber. Also what size webber should I use on a street ported 4 port 13b. A buddy of mine has a 40 dcoe that he is willing to let me borrow. is that too small? I know people run like a 45 on a street port normally but... will the 40 be big enough for me to atleast test the car out this way? I know I dont want a down draft.

Yes it'll fit.

DCOE, DHLA, Mikuni PPH and SK Racing sidedrafts all have the same bolt pattern and will bolt up to the same manifold.

Now as for 40 dcoe, that is very small and I wouldn't bother installing it. you really want a 48 or 50mm 2bbl carb. Or dual 40 dcoe's side by side if you can find the manifold for it (rare).

While not a direct answer to your specific query, I just found a very useful tech info page on Redline's site (they make and sell Webers now).

I had a delorto 48 on my street ported 13B FB, and it worked pretty well. I think a 40 would be too small. The best setup I ever had was the twin downdraft weber 36's. Much better low end than the delorto.
