VIR Full Course - May 16-17

[Forwarded from another forum. This is a great, well-run event, and with a 3.5L displacement restriction, it's perfect for rotories. As I understand it they have plenty of instructors, but need students. Come on out! -b]

Re: Alfa Romeo Small Bore HPDE - May 16-17

Fellow driving enthusiasts and patriots,

Help the Mid-Atlantic Alfa Romeo Club avoid a Federal Bailout! Student registrations are lagging and our May 16-17 Small-Bore Event, on VIR-North, is less than two weeks away.

These are desperate times, so we’ve slashed student fees to levels not seen since…..well, since last week. That’s right, our Early-Bird pricing, of $330 for non-member students and $315 for member (AROC, Tarheel Sports Car Club, Triangle Z Club, 02 Group) students, has been continued past its May 2 expiration. You thought that you’d missed a great price on an outstanding event that combines the renowned MAARC Small-Bore HPDE format with alternate run groups of VSCCA historic racing cars. Well, your 401K may have cratered, but you’ve lucked out in MAARC HPDE futures.

We offer three run groups per day, 25-minutes each, for Advanced (Blue) students, Intermediate (Yellow) students, and Instructors (White – currently waitlisted). Student cars are limited to 3.5 liter displacement, while the Instructor group is unlimited. The 3.5 liter displacement limit is in its fourth consecutive year, with past years receiving very high marks from students and instructors. Experience HPDE in the Laid Back Pasta Eater style. Many drivers and instructors tell us that, if they could do only one HPDE event per year, it would be this one.

Registration is available online through MotorsportReg.com. Our direct link is:

Additional event information is available at alfahpde.com.

Help us stimulate the economy by consuming tires, brake pads, and fuel; all while enjoying a unique HPDE experience with historic race cars and sunny Mediterranean weather on VIR-North. We look forward to seeing you there.

I so want to do this, but I'm already booked, and I'm even an instructor for the Triangle Z club!

All I can say, is this is a wonderful group who organizes it.
