My car is finally getting all the dents pulled and painted as I type this. Also putting the front 1/2 of the cage in etc....

I didn't even replace my rear shock, I put that bitch in between two metal slots on a steel trailer and pulled it straight LOL After it was all put back together the car is still fast enough for me but I won't be completely satisfied until I run a 2 flat at VIR. The new paving should help me with that goal.

I saw "loan survivor" yesterday and thought of you when one of the soldiers (navy seal thing) said "anything in life worth doing is worth over doing. Moderation is for cowards". No truer words were ever spoken to suit the race world philosophy and glad to see you getting your car back on track and you are a great example of someone who lives their life by that motto/creed.

Nah man, fair is fair and right is right. I think you were more than fair and I needed to make it right. I sold a couple of things because I didn't want to dig into savings, even though that's kind of what it's there for. It was just the combo of many things going on at the same time. That's life. Wouldn't trade ring, wedding, honeymoon, moving my wife to texas, house expenses for anything. Happy I had an abundance of parts that I could sell a few of to cover the difference. Parts are parts and they are always plentiful. Still one of the best track weekends to date and look forward to many more in the future.

Yep, eff moderation. All in. I do continue to learn a little more patience as I get older though. Life is way too short to not enjoy. I know we've talked about "The World's fastest Indian" before and the quote "You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime." Same with the track.

BTW, I am doing a 3 day event at COTA in a few weeks. It'll be cool to check that track off the list.

It appears to be the best track currently in the US, so yeah that's a big bucket list item for sure. Agreed on the whole "it's better to be a racer for a moment than a spectator for a lifetime" thing!

Some folks never have a weekend in their lifetime that would compare to an ordinary track weekend.

Damn Brent, I'm totally jealous of the COTA event. Now THAT I'd make a long haul and take the risk on the rotary curse for.

There is another 3 day COTA event that BMW CCA is putting on. I think it's March 21-23 and they still have some openings last I checked. Pretty cheap event for being COTA. You guys should do it!

Awesome. Here's hoping for a quick return to the track in that FD.
