Looking good and sounding mean

Its always hard getting those tires up to temp, I slide around like **** the 1st lap. Nice work.

I'll have my vid up soon hopefully. If I had a charger for that digital cam I'd be all set but the cheap bastard that sold it me didn't have the charger. Anywho I was shooting with the old sony tape recorder so uploading might be a challenge because I only have one computer that has the hook and it's as old as the video recorder

We are out there with all the TT classes so some of those cars aren't in my class(like the 2 red Vette's). Last week my class did have 3 C5's, 2 Vipers, and me in my RX-7.

Thanks dude!

Yeah, the track was just really slick all weekend long. Everyone seemed to struggle with grip all weekend. I don't think it'll be too much longer before they end up repaving the track.

Do you mean with the LS1 or the cage? If you are referring to the LS1, it handles great. In one of the previous pages I believe I went into the corner balancing. It's 50/50 front rear as well as cross so it's perfect. Throw the cage into the equation as well as a good alignment, good sway bars, average coilovers, and a good set of tires... the car handles great!

Great build Brent! (Subscribed so I can keep tabs on what you are up to before next season, lol)

Look forward to seeing you more next year - maybe I'll even bring my 7 out for a day at the track.

I got nocab to post for the first time in prob. like 5 years! Look forward to seeing you lay the smack down in GTS3 next year! Had fun running with you this year. It's unfortunate that you had your shock blow. Really hated to see that.

You should def. bring the 7 out sometime and stretch her legs!

Just to keep my build thread current, here are some pictures from Road Atlanta back in November and a video from the last time trial of the year in December.

With the gf riding

Car is getting wider fenders over the winter to run 315's in the front and 335's in the rear. Brakes will be sorted. I'll also prob. have some new coilovers.

Thanks!

For the offseason, I'll be fitting 315's in the front and 335's in the rear. I'll be adding Pettit rear flares and not sure what front fenders. I had the burnouts, but can't locate them. Brakes are also getting new master cylinders that are the correct size thanks to Charlie at Mazcare. I'm upgrading coilovers to a set of Penske's. I should have some pictures in a few months. Looking forward to getting it out on track next year.

No kidding Eddie, I can't wait to see this. You need to come up to VIR with us sometime. Have you ever seen Brent's car at Atlanta?

Quick update: I graduate U.S. Army Ranger School on Friday and will be back in the real world shortly after. So what are my weekend plans after being sleep deprived and starved for the last few months? Maybe a nice easy weekend or eating and sleeping? Nope heading to the NASA-SE event at CMP with a little help from my friends. Chadwick and Charlie from Mazcare are helping me make the event since I have no way to prep for the event. Wide fenders and tires will be on the car and I think the brake issue is better. I haven't had any time to get my new coilovers yet though.

If anyone wants to see a good depiction of Ranger school, the discovery channel did a good documentary on it last year. Here are a few videos of it: http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/ranger-school/

Hope to see all my fellow track rats soon.

Once again congrats on the training and WOW after watching those short vids you guys are seriously crazy but what's even wilder is that's likely just a taste of real combat which is something that fortunately most of us don't have to endure but a big THANKS to you crazy bastards who volunteer for the job

Have fun at CMP and I can't wait to see the car in BIGGER and BETTER form

PS BTW what you go through w/ the US military explains your driving habits to a T

Making progress...

So..... Ronin front fenders and Pettit rear flares are on. CCW's have been converted to 11in wide in the front and 12 in the rear. Tires are 315F and 335R. Penske's have been ordered. I purchased the 8665, which is a triple adjustable shock with external resevoir. It's the same shock the rolex cars use. I'm hoping to have it in before Road Atlanta in June.

Yes, 18x11 in the front and 18x12 in the rear. Front tire size is 315/30/18 and rears are 335/30/18. 25.6 outer diameter. I also have a set of 17x11 and 17x12 that are 315/35/17 and 335/35/17 with the same outer diameter as the 18's(25.6in)
