I use a traqmate. I haven't had it that long but I'm happy with the purchase. I think the basic system is either $599 or $699. They have several add on's. It's more widely used than any other system for the track stuff I do... which is great because it means more data to compare.

Well trackvision is an add on to many of the popular data loggers. It merges your data with your video files add lets you customize the images/display onto the video file. If your looking for a logger, that's something different.

jrx13,

I'm actually looking for both datalogger and integrate solution with video : software like trackvision or tragmate studio.

actually since I have power fc, I wonder if any datalogger work directly with it.

Hey TNN,

Niles and I use the Race-Technology DL1 data logger. Sometimes it's a good idea to check around locally and see what data loggers others are using, that way you can compare your data. The AIM systems are pretty common with the local miata crowd. I'm not aware of any data logging systems that make a direct connection to the datalogit or PowerFC.

I really like my AiM MXL Pista Dash / Data acquisition, and I plan to add a SmartyCam for video. Not cheap but it's really really nice. I recommend not picking a data box based on features per-se but more on how easy it is for you to get useful information out of the analysis software...

That's why I like the traqmate studio. It's very very user friendly. I was looking at an IQ3, but I would of been lost like last years easter egg trying to figure out how to extract and analyze the data after speaking with authorized dealers for both. There also aren't many people in my area that use them. The track driver data is the most important to me and it's very easy for me to see and compare many parameters with the traqmate. Traqmate also just released a converter box where you can synch your data with majority of HD cameras(they reccommend Sony). Before you could only do it with a ChaseCam. They also have aux inputs for several additional engine/car datalogging. For my LS1 track car, I plan to log oil pressure and wideband O2 as these are the most common engine failures. If I have an engine failure, it will be nice to be able to pull up the video with the data on screen and get an idea of when it failed(ie hard left turn, coming out of a turn full throttle, etc...) as well as if it started to drop off prior to.

G2X for me. Here is an old screen capture of the video integration that comes with it. You can add trackvision too.

I use trackvision together with Race technology DL1 and Dash2

Export a logger files with RT software... made my own dash in Trackvision and an other one for the EVO.
load file and video.. sync it and render the output.
Done.
