thinking about getting into autcross.. few questions
I got a 88 SE and am thinking about getting into some entry level racing here..
all these rules give you a headache
I guess the only problem im having with them is that i know for SCCA stock you have to have OEM catalytic converters. I have an aftermarket, non high performance replacement instead. Would this one stupid thing bump me into prepared?
Also a question on wheels... I have the 14" wheels with 215/60R14's on em, I guess it would work. But if i ever got really into it i would be looking for something better.
Now they say it has to be same diameter and width as stock. But does that allow for me to say change to 5 lug brakes and use GXL 15 inch size wheels?
Im not really looking to be competitive, but im not looking to be embarassed by getting shoved into the wrong class with a slow car either
Im also wondering about just getting into racing. I want to just go to an event, and drive the car in an autocross to try it out without diving really hard into it.
Any opinions on the matter would be appreciated.

If you go to a local auto X not a regional one no one will give you any grief until you start beating them. Although the cone intake will bump you up into CSP from ES. The 4 lug is lighter so you may as well keep that until you get serious or do track days. Oh yeah the cats are fine, no one will say anything if they see them under the car. Just go out and have fun. Don't worry how competetive you are at first.
