So they stole my trailer and car last night, the trailer was recovered a few miles away but the car is gone,

Thieving butt heads. Well most thieves are stupid and the racing community is small, lets hope it can be found with a minimum of damage.

I can only imagine how bad this sucks. Hopefully it'll turn up, I'll keep my eye out for parts or a car that come available out of the ordinary.

I insure my race car and trailer. It's really cheap to insure your car, only covers storage and in transit (not on the track) but if it gets stolen I'm covered or if it get hits in transit I'm covered. Not a bad investment. best of news, i am told the car was found completely intact, i dont know much more yet as i dont store that car/encl trailer with me, one never knows why it was left on the street to be found again, might have been the listing/pic on craigslist or just all of us at rx7club knowing, but i appreciate all the support i got in a time of need.......chuck

 

That's good news! Hopefully any damage is easy to fix or there is none at all. At least there's no CD player for them to tear the dash to pieces trying to get!

 

glad you are going to get the car back. My friends laugh at me, because I never securely mount my stereo. I'd rather lose a cd player than a whole dash

 

It was probably some ricers, and they figured out it was a real racecar and decided to leave it alone.

Any idea why they might have initially stolen your trailer?

 

To transport a stolen car, sell easily and quickly for crack, or if it was enclosed... transport drugs. Trailers down here, especially near the border, have to be considered consumable items because the only way to get them back is to have lo-jack on it.

why would anyone steal a race car? God, i can only imagine when some would be thief gets into my car and goes "****, im too late! someone already took everything!"

I hope you car has LOUD pipes so he just cant drive it down the road without calling attention.

i read about this on craigslist. deff have my best wishes, i hate it when this **** happens. who in their right minds would take a racecar and the trailor? ............. a bunch of antioch high kids............criminals.
