No .. and maybe. Adding a turbo puts you in Prepared. I think all RX-7's are BP. The streetport might be legal in SP. Here's what I see as the gray line ...

Intake and exhaust ports and manifold openings may be matched provided no change is made more than one inch from the port/manifold interface. Material may be removed to facilitate port matching, but no material may be added. (3/2002)

A rule book is easy to come by.

http://www.scca.org/news/index.html#comp_regs

And to the best of my knowledge (with out having the rule book here at work). Adding a turbo to a car that did not have one from the factory will put you in a Mod class. And if I remember correctly a 12a would run in the E-Mod Solo II class. A buddy of mine runs in that class with his supercharged rotary powered miata that weighes around 1800lbs.

Streetport is NOT CSP legal. ANY carb/manifold is ok. Porting is not.

Nope.

You could run Street Mod 2 or you could run E Mod. E Mod is the class for all engine swap vehicles. A three rotor Bugeye Sprite won Nationals this year in E Mod.

Nope. No internal engine mods in SP.

I have most all of the suspension mods I really need, just need the Front anti-roll bar, and copnsidering switcking to coil-overs a little later on.
As fart as the driving skills Ifeel very confident and am a relatively skilled driver. I will always need more pratice, but feel next year I will be very competive.
