Show Us ur broken transmission from road race

All the 16 year of track, the most oroblem I have is always stock transmission…………
I blow more then 10 set, most of them are 3th gear

With my. New endurance rx7 I spend great amount of time to cool my transmission
Well
It still Did not last 2 season of race😌

I don’t know I wasn't driving the car at the time but it was probably a downshift, we had a bunch of rookie race drivers in the team at the time so their shifting technique left plenty to be desired.

No pics, might have a few teeth still lying around though. Last box to blow was OS Giken, 3rd gear plus countershaft destroyed....running coolers on diff and gearbag.

The only box that seems to live in enduros down here that has any semblance of "stockness" is a re-housed Hollinger, but looking at $20k Aud + with strain gauge, etc...then there's ongoing dogbox maintenance every so often.

holy crap, how much HP are you pushing? Is your clutch sufficient?

Have you looked into cyro treating the gears?

Had I opened up gear box, I am sure it would have looked like this too. My 3rd gear failed on an upshift

How’s this for a seriously broken transmission…

Happened last Saturday, our problem was a bad rear u-joint causing vibrations and loads into the tailshaft housing. We changed the transmission but ended up putting another tailshaft housing on this transmission putting it back in and running it on Sunday.
