Thats the idea I am going for lol. The class of rally racing I am going for basicly stock. Just the suspention. I need to upgraqde that, to avoid wrapege around a tree. I also plan to have a custom 10 or 12 point roll cage built and installed by a preofetional.

The rats nest I want to remove, because I have numerous vacume leaks, and its a pian in my rear end.

Bringing this back from the dead ...

Dave has quoted the B46-0347 shock number in more than this thread, yet the MazdaMotorsports listing quotes B46-0317 about 4 times on one page of the suspension listing.

Which one is it?

B46-0347 doesn't show up on Bilstein's site, but B46-0317 does. Summit's site references the Toyota Corolla R for the -0317. 1 and 4 are right by one another on the key pad. Maybe that explains the typo if it is one.

Do you know if these are supposed to be shorter than a stock replacement rear shock? If so, how much shorter?

I checked with Allshocks.com, a place that specializes in Bilesteins, and they reference the 317:

There is note that you need to contact them since it requires a 408516 (12mm) or E4-GV1-Zo44A05 adapter.

I do wonder how stiff the Bilsteins are compared to the adjustable Illuminas (the MR2 strut). I want them at about a '4' on the Illumina scale on the front and about a '3' on the rear.
