Setting "back-lash" - Whats involved?

Hey,
Im swapping a torsen into my FC, and I was wondering what is involved in setting Bank-lash? I know this should be done by a professional, and I am planning to have a pro do the work, but I want to know exactly whats involved so that I am not getting ripped off.

I spoke to one guy at a 4x4 shop (the shop was awsome) and he said that the job should take about 3 hrs, if I bring him the pumpkin out of the car, but still sealed up. He actually said that he does not want me to open it up, or remove the old diferential...I guess this will help is setting the lash?

Anyways...any help and insight would be appreciated from any of you guys who have done this sort of thing before.
Thanks,
-a

Dunno how FC's are adjusted, but it sounds like he plans to measure your current back lash and duplicate it when the torsen goes back in. Rather than read and follow the FSM. Should work ok to do that. 3 hrs sounds about right start to finish.
