so i'm attempting to get my regional novice license and had a few questions about the equipment i have to purchase.

i have a corbeau seat and 5 pt camlock harness and they are sfi certified and wasn't sure if that was enough they're held down by grade 8 bolts.

what rating does the helmet have to be? i'll be in sm i believe.

same with the fire suit, will any nomex suit do? or does it have to be a 2 layer or or only 1 layer and do the suits expire.

and will a 6 point cage with door bars be enough to pass scca and nasa regulations

Your best bet is to go to SCCA's web site and download their Rules PDF and refer to exact rules in their documentation. You are bound to get some correct and some wrong answers asking on here.
