SCCA classing

If I just happened to find a four port 13B bridge port under the Christmas tree and stuffed it in my first gen CSP car what class would I get bumped to? Any chance of sneaking in to SMII?

Thanks.

Thanks,

My concern is that there was never a four port 13B in the first gen in the states. There may have been in the JDM but I haven't been able to find that out for sure. The way I read the rules I can use any engine that was available in the car world wide. We can use a 6 port 13B to build from but we had rather use the 4 port. If I have to use the 6 port I could just go with a peripheral port.

Go run F-Prepaired with the big boys. FB+13B run VERY well in F-P.

You can use JDM motors in SM2 as long as it has a Mazda badge on it, and it doesn't matter which car it came from.

That's how you can have a 3-rotor FD.

You could put the 4.0L V6 from a Mazda truck in it and it'd still be SM2 legal.

I also once thought the rules said that the engine had to come in that car, but apparently that's not what it says.

So porting is allowed in SM2?
If so what kind of porting do the top Rx-7's in this class have?

Drivetrain mods are unlimited in SM2 with a few exceptions.

Well... just don't try to put a RWD engine in a FWD car.
