scca class???????????
holy crap, im so confused now. the last 2 years i raced my probe in sts, and did fairly well. so this winter i bought my 7, an 86 sport w/ 88k miles. figured i can add shocks, springs, sway bars and falken aziens and im basically ready to start out on my new adventure. i was checking the rule book to see exactly what i can do, and dagnabbit i feel stupid. i cant drive the 7 in sts. so what class would i fall under? im so lost now. i dont want to be thrown into a class that im going to get raped in. but i want to be fair too. this is just for solo II events, if that matters.

If you're keeping it stock, E Stock is where you'll be. If you do the mods you mentioned, bumps ya to C Street Prepared.
You're not necessarily going to get raped in either at a local level, though CSP gets pretty hard to keep up in with the better prepared/funded guys (or so it feels).
Check your local rulebook and see how you're classed there as it may be different, too.

You won't get raped in ES unless there's a decent driver in a Miata (1.6) or anybody with a NA MR2...
Or somebody in a 944 or early z car...
oh well...
Check your region's results for last year's events and see which class had the best competition and build for that class.

has his *** handed to him every weekend.

Guaranteed to become more elaborate as the season gets going (first time in CSP, need to feel out the car a little first, as per recommendations).
