So how many times have you done that to *your* Porsche DP 935 engine?

About as many times as *you* have. What's with the pissy attitude? I don't own a DP 935 but have owned a 911 turbo and a 928 GTS. Porsche parts and maintenance aren't cheap.

why would the engine needa rebuild every 30 hours?
just to stay competitive or cause it blows up, I don't understand race engines I guess.

race engines hopefully don't blow up at 30 hours but they do start to lose power. many people extend the run time, but these race cars run in professional race series and losing power is not an option. so they are rebuilt before they break or blow up. Most race car parts are changed long before they are worn out or blown up. They are replaced or rebuilt so they don't break or blow up during a race.

WOW,
Today I had a guy from another company who is getting a car ask how much is it to run in a year. In my head it came out to $1000.00 for two hours of racing per week end. I can looking in my advertzing expense account for the right amount but I don't. I know I only run in a RS class and thats cheep compared to a GT class.

Thanks for adding up the costs. I've been tempted to pick up a not-so-ratty 1g and try the SpecRX7 series with MARRS this year and now at least I know what I'm up against
