Racecar guage panels.

When I went to Panoz racing school the cars had a Electronic display instead of guages.

I really liked the way it was set up.

had a bar around the outside for RPM and then you could pic what you wanted displayed on the front screen.

If it sensed anything out of the ordinary (by user set limits) it would display that on up front.

Im looking at about $650 of autometer guages, but I would rather do this.

I can concentrate on driving and if there is a problem I will know about it right away.

although a ton of autometer guages looks really cool.

anybody have any info on them?

And by the way your going to spend at least $1000 for either the stack or motech units.

Modern jet airplanes have "glass cockpits" - crt or lcd screen based instrumentation displays. Basically, six screens, the autopilot panel, usual throttle and yoke controls, rudder pedals and a few backup analog instruments, as opposed to a sea of dials.

Defi makes a heads up display: http://www.defi-shop.com/product/vsd/vsd_top.htm

And if you have or ever get a Microtech, I know they make something like what you're looking for:

that defi kit is a piece of **** compared to the corvette peice, which clearly reads RPM and MPH.

It looks kind of like a S2000 dash, but projected on the windsheild.

I bet I could get the projection unit to work on the FB. but im sure its about $2000.
