Question about 255's on the front

Has anyone put 255 40 17's on 9.5" rims on the front of a 3rd gen? The rims I have are +40 offset. The car is lowered 1.25". Spring rate is 16kg/mm. They rub a little on the plastic in the wheelwell when turned almost all the way. I just put them on and haven't done any hard driving because I didn't want to damage anything. I want to know if I should roll the fenders if I plan on taking it to the circuit.

Yes, many have, try searching on the suspension forum, you can go up to a 275-40-17 with the proper offset/springs/ride height. Carl Byck
