what was the event? Theres a truck and a old chevy lumina in front of you?

 

Yeah, it looks like a highway to me with all the mundane vehicles.

 

it was the first offical race at the new track, scca se region. the reason for all the street cars is .... if you've never been to a race of this sort at lunch time they do what is called touring laps so crew and family can see the course.
almost everyone who was in the pits drove their vehicle around it.
i would like to thank tom from from blues power racing for the use of the boxster.
