Question R1 Spoiler, No Wing

In Sept '01 I had a single-car accident that nearly totaled my FD. As part of its repair, an R1 front spoiler was installed even though I didn't have one to begin with.

Haven't driven the car much since, almost a "garage queen." I hope to get it back on the track this year, but am wondering if the balance of the car is affected by having the front spoiler without the wing on the back end? Opinions, please.

Depends on how effective it is to be honest. If its an effective spoiler (creates alot of front downforce) then you will have an aero imbalance. Thats the quick and dirty explanation.

That's what I don't know, how effective is the stock R1 front lip spoiler? I assumed an imbalance if it is effective, but at what speeds? I'm not a racer, but do get up there in the track events (NASA HPDE) I do at Laguna Seca and Sears Point.

Guess I'll find out soon enough.
