ok i got inspired to try and post a video from watching yours.
i went out and got a dazzle dvc 100. to capture video from my in car camera. i recorded under 6 minutes of video with it and the saved file is over 400 megs.
i tried to save it as an mpg, mpgII and an avi and there all large files. how do i get them to be small enough to post and have people download.

thanks
rob

I bought some studio 9 software and a friend gave me some bandwidth.

All I do is upload the vid to my computer and then upload it to the pipe and voila vid is ready for viewing. It does take a while to download though.

I haven't posted any video on these forums, but I capture DV video using WinDV as described here:
http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/dv/...aragraph0.html

I like Virtual Dub + AVIsynth for editing, but if you're just starting out, TMPGenc is much easier to use. It will encode to MPEG files, which are pretty universal, and can save in DVD format also.
