Oval track RX7 questions.

I am contemplating weather i should run a 2nd gen 7 or an S13 240sx for my Mini stock here at Evergreen Speedway.

There is one of each racing at the track this year and they are both running RIGHT along with each other at the front... and by front i mean 1st and 2nd.

BUT. I would have some BIG dough with the 240 because it is a cylinder engine. I know a really good engine builder that can give me a great price. If i ran the 7 I dont have an engine builder.

The problem with this is though... how in the hell do you get 325 hp out of an N/A non ported rotary?!?!?

I am a little confused.

It must be a 2 rotor, non ported, N/A engine.

HELP?

Well you should be confused, because the answer is simply, you can't. You would need a street ported single turbo running either a decent size compressor or decent boost for that level of power, there just isn't any other way to make that with a 1.3

I know for a fact that they are getting over 225 hp. Some guys were telling me like 325 but thats not poss.

I think i might be able to get away with a VERY mild streetport. It cant have a rough idle or it would be a dead giveaway.

I'll send you $100 if you can tell me how to get over only 200rwhp on a stock port NA 13b without any nitrous. I'm serious about the $100. Either I'm really missing something in this equation or your sources are telling stories. Remember this is RWHP.

If that is is rwhp, then that engine is ported, and fairly heavily at that. Period. No question.

Several very experienced groups (Speedsounce, ISC) have tuned and tweaked on stock 13Bs for years building very expensive SCCA ITS cars. The most they have gotten is roughly 180 rwhp.

Are these guys running the stock intake or have they gone the carb route?

there are guys on here getting 200rwhp with a s5na13b stock ports, but that is with crazy custom intake manifolds, and standalone of course. But that is the absolute limit of a NA stock ported engine. if you plan on making more power on stock ports turbo will make plenty of what you need.
