Nikki Carb - Fuel Pump for Racing

Does anyone use a different fuel pump on their autocross / Spec7 / IT7?

I have to replace the stock fuel pump on my FB and want to know if there are any upgrades available (and if I don't have to spend $150, that is all the better)?

I am keeping the stock Nikki because sanctioning body rules require it.

Thanks!

Keith

Great write-up...when I get paid, the old FP is out and the Carter FP and Holley FPR are in!

Money is good

Just pay very close attention to the mounting options. These pumps can be very very loud if you don't take extreme measures against vibration. Do not mount it to sheet metal, mount it on the frame instead. Use rubber bushings to isolate the mount from the frame. I also recommend running a heavier power wire to a relay, then use the original power wire to trigger the new relay. This will ensure that you have plenty of power to feed the pump.
