I bet there's more dirt and track grime buildup than a layer of paint. Do it nice and glossy so that **** doesn't stick in the first place.

I got PS in and running a few months ago, I forgot how much better it feels with PS. I don't think you could get me to drive a non-ps car on a racetrack unless there were some dire circumstances involved I cut the spring down a few times until it felt right, now I am pretty happy with it.

Sorry about that! I'm looking forward to another bad *** rotary running out there. I think it was a smart move for you to move to ST1 instead of SU. I don't like classes with no boundaries. Allthough ST1 cars are sometimes quicker than the SU representation.

Not sure if you saw the Willow event this year that had a CSR (converted toyota atlantic car with prototype body) running SU. He ran a 1:18.7 I believe. My fastest time at Willow this year was a 1:28.2, I thought that was fast.

I went to nationals at Mid Ohio this year. My motor blew on the first day after 20minutes of track time! The oil pump failed, the shaft broke in half. Tripoint is trying to get me back on track for the Nov buttonwillow event.

1:28 is blazing fast! What suspension are you using? 1:18 is just silly though, I don't think any production car can get into that territory at WSIR. Sorry to hear about your motor at the Nationals!

I have the same double adjust Koni's from Tripoint. I have 700lb springs front and 450 rear. I'm running the adjustable RB front control arms so I can position my front track where I need it.

I would like to get the car about a 1/2" lower this next year. The tire would rub on the upper frame rail under extreme bump steer when I had the car lowered that last 1/2"

I may hammer up the frame rail and square off the inner fender well to give me a little extra clearance in the front. I may have to reinforce the shock tower after I do that, but I think it will be worth having the lower CG and aero.

Did you cut out the vents for your fenders? I wish my kit had fender vents to reduce the lift generated at high speeds.

I like your hood vent too. That is another project I'm planning on this year. I would like to have a duct from my radiator to a recessed hood vent. Trying to run low 1:27's at willow for '09

No but I will cut out the fender vents...they must be gigantic parachutes right now, but I have only done about 1/8th of a track day with the kit on the car and ripped the front lip off first time out Hood vent I think is critical, at least in a turbo car, for cooling.

All the air going through my radiator gets pushed underneath the car. Not Good! To much front end lift and drag for me. Everything is so expensive though, it all has to be fabricated.

Nice build. Have you been painting your parts with silver paint or are they just blasted? Is your IC piping aluminum?

Silver high temp paint available at most auto parts stores. The piping is aluminum.

Looks good. You're probably going to eventually have problems with gasket failure at the wastegate - under racing conditions your exhaust will probably be hot enough to kill the gaskets. A V band setup will work better in the long run.

Agree completely; I blew out 2-3 gaskets already on my Tial 46mm with the 20B. I eventually will switch to the A-Spec manifold with a v-band, at least these gaskets are quite easy to get to!
