Modifying 12A oil press. regulator

Is there a way to modify the stock oil pressure regulator to get 80-90 PSI?

I thought I had seen a tech write up on this, but now I can't find it.

You need one of the older pressure regulators which bolt together. Pull it apart and shim the spring a good 1/8 inch. Presto, 90 PSI.
