Misc Driving/Racing Videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IR6tMKn2Lvw&

I went to Jim Hall Karting School on Sunday and had a damn good time, literally and figuratively

I don't have too many FC videos yet but I have some autox ones. Still trying to get used to basic racing car control.

Still plenty of room for improvement.. Remember to drive like the whole track is yours!

But overall, looks good and more importantly.. looks like you had plenty of fun!

Thank you! I was told to try and develop that habit as early as possible. Not quite there yet

Some FC fun:

Wow, that cart track looked like it was rough enough to bounce you right out of your seat!

And I think your lines looked just fine. Only a few corners where you were sloppy on hitting the apex, but with so much going on I'm sure I couldn't have done any better.

Sarah, great video. Looks like alot of fun... and that is what is the most important. Your lines looked fine to me too. Seat time helps more than anything(and, consequently, is alot of fun) to improve driver skills, lines, lap times, etc... Looks like you are getting plenty of it. I'm guessing you are in a rotax kart?

I'm trying to improve everywhere as mucho as possible. Being as that I've only been there 3 times, I'm not expecting to run their race series times So far, my average is 1 second behind race series average times. At the same time, I'm probably 30-40 lbs lighter than everybody else. (The karts are 160 lbs). Furthermore, if they ballast my kart, it would also handle much better like my FC did when I was driving some wheels and tires around in it...

Here are the specs from the Jim Hall site.
Manufacturer: Emmick
Chassis: Tube frame
Steering: Direct, column-mounted steering arms
(.75 turns lock to lock)
Brakes: Rear inboard ventilated discs
Engine: 100cc Italian HPV; 2-cycle; air-cooled
Maximum rpm: 14,000
Output: 17 horsepower
0-60 m.p.h.: 6.7 seconds
Top speed: 80 m.p.h.
Cornering ability: 1.5 lateral G's
Transmission: Dry Clutch

Also everyone, thank you for your encouragement! Some entrances and exits were pretty sloppy and I'm still definitely learning how to drive the thing in complete properness. Got a long way to go!
