If this were a 4 cylinder I would agree with that more than on a rotary. Since each rotor is fed by a center runner and an outer runner at the same time, the pressure and consequently the flow between the 2 runners will equalize between them and it'll be fine. The SDS setup would at least result in equal flow to the front and rear rotors themselves. This is better than placing the throttlebody at one end of the plenum where each rotor will not get the same amount of air.
