Thinking about one for the new car, anyone know how long these things last?

should last just as long as any LSD would

you could email the guys at Guru racing they make Torsen's for all rx7s and Miatas too.

Ive got one of there diffs in my car and it rocks! i highly recomend a torsen style diff (any brand) over a LSD.

It depends on what kind of driving you do. If you auto x, road race or normal everyday a-b driving, the stock torsen is fine. If you drag race, IT SUCKS!!! First couple of wheel hops and its good as gone! I have the Kaaz and love it. No chatter what so ever and it dead hooks!

Lol, it's an FC Turbo, so there is no stock torsen(well, there is, but we didn't get them here in the states). My application is just that, Auto X with a-b driving, eventually the car will have aspirations of being a track toy. Thanks for the responses guys, I'm going to go check those links out! Much appreciated!

The Infini FC's
They were in Japan only, and were like the GTUs with a turbo.
Lightened, Real nice stock bucketracing seats, 4.3 rear end w/ TorSen, no sunroof available, stiffer suspension, only came in black (said to have a hint of green in it)

Node's correct. The Infini IV came with a torsen. RX-7.com or RX-7Store, I can't remember which one, is selling factory OEM torsen diff's for the FC3S, I'm thinking of getting one, but man, lol, ex$pen$ive! =D

thanks for that, i acttually thought of that model after i posted, they also had no stereo, and a tower bar that looks like the std FD factory ones.

what sort of dollars we talking???
The best reason to check out the Guru one is due to the fact that the Aussie Dollor is worthless therefore makes the exchange rate great for you guys!

The Diff centre costs $AUS1495 RRP but you guys get them for $US795 RRP (listed on their website)

god I sound like I'm giving a sales pitch! I'm not it is just a good locally made product, that you guys can get cheap than us aussies

I am however a friend of the owner of Guru (Rohan Ambrose-local Rotor god!)
I think its better to state this rather than you think I'm feeding you B.S.
