Joining Mazda Competition for discounts?

How do I go about joining the mazda racer program or whatnot for discounts and race parts? I need clutches for a S4 LSD rebuild before I stuff it in my FD.

I have done a couple of autoxes and trips to the drag strip, and will be doing a lot of open road racing this year...

Go to the mazda motorsports website and fill out the application. They require pictures of the car and a copy of a racing club membership card. This can all be done online. I've heard of the process taking a while but my personal experience was about 4 days.

You need results sheets from a real racing organization clearly listing your name as competing in races; or if you are building a race car then you need to show your membership card in a racing organization and photos of your race car work in progress.

What is their definition of work in progress?

For example: a SCCA Solo II car being prepared for E-stock? Would pictures of worn-out bushings, SCCA/TSSCC/NASA magnetic stickers & fresh 710's count or are they looking for pictures of a gutted interior, a jungle-gym of a cage, and a wankel on the floor?

'Work In Progress' seems pretty subjective since your track ***** needs parts/upgrades that Mazdamotorsports is holding hostage until you begin to tear things apart.

Perhaps this is a better question for Mazdamotorsports.com - but please share any experiences submitting work in progress pictures to Mazda. Either way, I think I am going to give them a call next week. I have a month before the 1st event...which I should get my *** handed to me. (raced a Street Mod Mustang Cobra the last 3 seasons <- just a tad different than a GTUs)

Thanks,
Giancarlo

I assume that online results from SoloII and American Auto-X events are good? I am just getting into racing, but I need to get the LSD rebuilt asap.

FWIW,
I sent them pics of a trashed 86 GXL on a trailer, a copy of my Competition license, and copies of results in my old Nissan. I included a brief letter that I was selling the Nissan to fund the RX7 build. It was no problem.

I turn in results from at least 2 autocrosses or similar events a year. I really like the set up that they have. Its great!
