Jack Mardikian FD3 Time Attack Dyno Video

We had Shane Teckelburg doing a tune up on Jack Mardikians FD3 on our DynaPack dyno last Friday. We made a few changes and wanted to see what we were working with .
Did a few pulls, Shane made a few changes. Ended up with 480HP and 420 lbft at 20.5 lbs of boost. from last time on the Dynapack we are down 20hp but up 20 lbft of tq. we are pretty pleased with the results. Hopefully we will run her at the RedLine Time Attack July 19-20 @ Cali Speedway ROVAL. Should be good times..

Check out the video

Holy crap, that car is nuts. Love the videos, seen couple of other ones of the car in action on the track. I'm going to the CA speedway event to watch, it would be cool to go with some other rotary folks...

Thanks for the support guys.

As far as the mods go, everything is custom fabbed on Jacks car. we started with the engine and built it from there. Custom Header and D/P with 4" d/p, 5" oval to 5" round. turbo is a BorgWarner Bullseye S366. ECU is MoTec M800 with custom engine and chassis harness by Greg Pyles at GP Motorsports, tuned by Shane Tecklenburg on Dyanpack dyno, aim sports dash. Intake manifold is stk but heavily modified. 3 oil heat exchangers, Custom "V" mount set up with intercooler and custom Radiator with external swirl pot and 2nd get water pump. custom fuel system with sumped stk tank, external aeromotive ae1000 fuel pump, Weldon FPR and filters, 96lb hr injectors. everything is ducted for clean air flow. Accusump system with canton oil filter, custom crankcase breather set up, Penske 8760 3 way adj shocks AP brakes..Lots more ..

So I had to wait and see it in Super Street, but the car burned at Long Beach? How bad?

Not bad at all...the heat was mainly paint burning off. there was a very small leak also but it didn't cause any fire. the foam extinguisher we have worked great and had the fire out in seconds with no damage. the fire marshal was very excited to use his extingusher "Wow this is my first fire, i cant wait" and proceeded to douse the engine in that powder crap which is very hard to clean and corrodes everything. we actually had the car fixed in about an hr at the shop. the clean up from the powder took 3 days.
She is back and ready again for Jack to unleash her at CALI speedway next month.

CAL SPEEDWAY will be a good opportunity to get a big group ride together for support.

Question pits?

This is sort of off topic, but are you guys going to be available to show the car in the pits? I'm planning on going to the CA Speedway event to show some rotary support for you guys and take some video and pics. I would LOVE to take a closer look at the car, meet the owner/driver/mechanic and see how it's set up.

That thing is truly badass.

yeah... I had a small engine fire at Willow Springs a few weeks back and only had a powder extinguisher available. Now I have Halon. What a PITA to clean like you said!

Ya, the powder is a mess. Since our encounter with the powder extinguisher, we have put a fire system in all of our cars here at the shop. We use the OMP AFFF Foam system and it worked amazing.

Well, unfortunately the driver had a last minute change of plans and we were not able to make it out there this weekend. It was a huge disappointment for everyone here at the shop.

No, the car hasn't actually been out on the track yet, since the Long Beach Grand Prix.
