Thumbs up I want YOU to codrive my car at Houston NT 4/22-23!

Hello all!

Trying to get the STS2 RX-7 GTUs to the SCCA Solo2 National Tour at Houston for the weekend of 4/22-4/23. I'll be either driving it or trailering it from San Diego. I'm used to making this trip, my wife is from Austin and we do it several times a year (the trip, I mean).

I'm trying to banzaii the road trip rather than take a ton of days off of work, as there is another Tour in Atwater, CA and then the ProSolo at Atwater the following two weekends in a row.

I'm looking for someone who lives between Central California and Houston who would like to Codrive my car with me, sharing driving duties on the way out and back....if you would like to pitch in for fuel, I would not argue with you. This is a good opportunity to drive a Nationally-competitive autocross car. "Imp"(keith casey) flew out and drove the car at the San Diego NT and won, with a broken hand, after never set foot or cast inside of it. I won the ProSolo at Fontana the following weekend, and I'm a moron.

Please email or reply sooner than later if this sounds interesting. If you are closer to Houston I can just swing up and pick you up on the way there....if you live VERY close to Houston (DFW, Austin) and still want to drive maybe you can just chip in for some of my fuel costs (don't have to pay my entry or tires or anything like that required). Car is eligible for Hankook and Mazda contingency programs, and we currently have 5 drivers signed up (not including myself).

Registration is due the Tuesday before the event to avoid late fees, don't miss out!

Okay, I'll take the weekend off and just run the local stuff. Didn't want to spend the extra money anyway, so this is a good excuse! Atwater National Tour and ProSolo still up for grabs if anyone wants to drive....

yeah, I'll be going to Houston but from Dallas, which won't help you at all. I'd help you if I could though.

Well, if you want to drive the car TODAY is the last day to Register. I am very busy with the shop, still debating and seeing if I can afford to go AND to Atwater the next two weeks.

Money is always an issue right now with my wife and I moving AND our business moving. I am committed to ONE Texas event right now, and looks like Mineral Wells will be it. With fuel prices over $3/gal here in CA, I am going to HAVE to have a codriver that can help, no matter how little it may be. My wife will by flying out to see her parents who are coming up from Austin, and I will by driving the whole way solo non-stop due to time issues.

If anyone wants to drive the car in STS2 at the Mineral Wells Pro, you are more than welcome to....you just can't beat me in my own car...or you can run CSP/SM2/BP hehe.

Dave, next time let me know if you need a driver for Houston events. We have several capable drivers, many with decades of experience within our club.

I know how it is. My wife and I just had a little girl last week. I couldn't make the Arkansas events because I didn't want to be out of town then, and I won't make the Houston event because I don't want to be out of town then I'll certainly be in Mineral Wells though; can't miss that one. I look forward to seeing you. Good luck with that long drive.

I'll be driving the Mazda out for the Denver Tour, flying back to San Diego, then flying back to Denver for the ProSolo the following weekend, then driving the RX-7 back.....it's at the Airport, why not?

6/15-6/16 and 6/22-6/23.
