How much oil do you use during a race or track day?

I went through about 1/4 quart for each 30min heat at Summit Point last month.

RX-Midget,

Just checked, ran all day long (100 minutes), I'm just shy of full, maybe 1/2 quart down.. No OMP though.

I guess I'm in the ball park since I do run the OMP. I figure I did about 100 miles and used 3/4quart.
I'm not woried about running out of oil (9qt sump ), just wanted to know if my rate of consumption is OK.

I used almost all of it once at an open track night in my 86 N/A. My engine was burning oil pretty bad before it went. I pulled the dipstick before I went home and it was dry as a bone. Kind of a sickening feeling

Well it ran well for a few weeks. Like I said in the post "it went" and went it did. I knew it was only a matter of time though. I had smoked out an auto X course a couple weeks earlier. I am slowly acquiring parts for a rebuild. Luckily I can race my FD until my 86 is finished.

Depends on what kind of running for me...

Uphill drifting---1/2 quart, sometimes more.

Curcuit----1/4 sometimes less about 10 laps on a 2 mile track I think it is...

Drag---NONE!!!

i've been going through a liter for every 10-20 laps depending on the track. I'm finding alot of oil in the intake system and am wondering if the turbos are blowing by an excess amount. I find that the rate of consumption increased after switching to synthetic.
