How to find open track days

How does one go about finding an open track day? Specifically Road Atlanta but I'd like to get out on some other tracks as well.

Go to the tracks website for a calender, check out NASA HPDEs for your area, check if the SCCA is holding a PDX, etc...

There are several coming up at Road Atltanta. NASA-SE has events at RA in August and December. MVP Track Time has one in November. BMWCCA has one in September. Those are just a couple off of my head.

A great place that has almost everything centrally located is www.motorsportreg.com

According to your location, you should be fairly close to Putnam Park in Indiana which is a great facility as well. NASA-GL and MW run crossover events there.

I had checked Road Atlanta's track schedule and didn't see anything. Great info, guys. I didn't even realize that SCCA and NASA did open track days for those of us w/o racing licenses.

SCCA at least as far as I've seen is still developing their PDX events so you probably won't find a whole lot of those. Memphisraines hit it right on the head, those are the best places/sites for finding open track days. There's plenty around your area. Also +1 for Putnam Park being a great track, was my first one and I would love to do it again. Also for a NASA event you'll need to become a NASA member ($45 a year, which you also get a "free" subscription to GSM magazine along with it). But there are plenty of organizations that you can do events with that don't require memberships, although you won't be disappointed with NASA, I promise. Check out those sites he listed and you'll be good to go. Best of luck, once you start you'll literally be addicted.

Road Atlanta's calendar sucks, but it does show NASA, and there's a tab on the left that shows "Track Day" companies (Chin, MVP) who's schedules you can check for RA dates.
