How to edit car chip??

Question How to edit car chip??

Hello!!

I 'm taiwanese ~~ i want to ask one thing , that if i want to tuning my car chip(torque & horsepower) , how shuld i do ?? Thanks !!

first welcome to the forum.

modding the chip yourself will be pretty expensive unless you already have a E Prom burner, with software, and can get a copy of the stock ign and fuel maps in a format your burner recognizes to play with.

you would also need a program that simulates the changes you are making unless you feel like taking shots in the dark. and doing multiple burning and dyno sessions.

the best bet is to get a stand alone like the power fc, or one fo the other commercially available units, and playing with them. they offer much more versatility and power than the stock computer, as well as being easier to manipulate.

Hi~~kenn,

thanks for your explain , and i know i need some simulates(EX.power fc) , but i want to know how could i do if i have software and hardware~~i can read out the chip data , but i don't know how should i tuning ; so , do you have to tuning the chip data??can you tell me what should i attended ?? and after tuning , the car need change some thing(like tire or sparking plug) ?? Thanks !!
