How To Break A Rear Rotary Style :)

Hey guys, as some of you know, Im swaping a 13B into an 87Corolla SR5 and was wondering, even with a bridged Carbed 13b, what are the chances that I snap the little 6.3" rear in half? Me and some friends have been talking about it, we reckon that the 13b when ported will make less tourqe than when stock and wont have the low end grunt to break it. also due to costsm, Im planing to use the stock SR5 rear end. Probably put a ford LSD rear or somthing later on, but in the meantime, would that little rear suffice untill I can do better? I plan nothing more than to drive it on sundays, the every once in a while foolin around and maybe the occaisonal AutoX, plus the guys at the GRMS challange want me to bring it out there too. I know it wouldnt be too competitve with a small one-leg rear but do I need to worry about breaking it. and also what are some things i can do to keep it from breaking?

If itll last, ill probably go and pop an Aftermarket LSD in it

Unless you plan on putting slicks on it and drag racing it I don't think you will have issues.

People are running 10's with RX-7 n/a 7" ring gears. Not that the tiny unit you are describing is known as a powerhouse... but the lightweight of the car plus being a 1 legger and not on stickies is to your advantage.

There are people running low 9's with 800hp+ on the Toyota 8" solid rear end (from the V6 truck with factory 31 spline axles). Toyota parts are pretty stout in stock form. (ie Supras that run 8's on factory rear ends).

I'd ask the Toyota club. They've probably broken more Toyota rear ends than RX7club. There are quite a few motor swaps (some of them supercharged or turbocharged) performed to the SR5 chassis, I'm sure some of them used the original rear end.
