A lot of people I know go to hardware store and buy magnetic vent covers (for home a/c floor vents). Then they make numbers on a printer and cut the magnets to match.

Good, quality work and quick turnaround.

I cut my own. I ordered up a sheet of magnetic material from http://www.mcmaster.com , printed out some big numbers on my printer in the font I wanted to use, traced them onto the magnetic material, and cut it out. It ended up working pretty well.

Make sure you plan out how you want to cut the letters. "A" "B" and other similar letters that have islands in the middle will either need to have a small strip left to hold the center, or cut out the centers and place them on separately. Just a thought.

Samps, that's if you're only going to make the background for your figures. If what you're making is the letters and numbers themselves, it isn't quite so tricky.

I used pro-tape designs as well.... They run an Rx7(er, it used to be) here locally on the autocross.

He's actually here on the forum, I think Spraitz or something like that... I know he posted in the DFW autocross thread in the south section.

Alternately, you can also buy 1'x2' sheets of magnetic stuff at Micheal's or hobby lobby or wherever and cut stuff out of those.... That's how I mounted the rest of my stickers and such.
