gauges?

Which gauges do yall run with, AutoMeter, Defi, Nordskog, Greddy, ...? I like the reliability of sweep gauges but also like the clean look of digital gauges. Are the Nordskog Performance gauges accurate?

I wouldn't put a digital numeric display only gauge in my car. They're too hard to process. You have to wait for your eyes to focus on each individual number, you have to then read that number and then wait for your brain to process if that number is good or bad. The next time you look at the gauge you repeat all that and then notice right away the number is different. Then your brain has to stop once again decide if that number is "different ok" or "different not ok".

With an analog gauge and a needle you don't have to wait for your eyes to focus, your brain instantly and easily realizes trends (steady? going up? going down?) and it doesn't have to really process anything because you can remember if the needle points anywhere from here to here all is good. If the needle is not pointing between here and here you also realize it instantly. Much faster and easier IMO.

I was thinking of using digital gauges for mainly water temp, oil temp, and voltage. I'm using analog for everything else. I just really like the clean appearence for using digital, I like the blacked out look. your statement does make a lot of sense
